Hey there. I’m Eric Wilde. I run Wilde Escape and work with outdoor brands to create honest gear reviews that actually help people.
Before this, I worked as a first responder. That career taught me two things. One, you need gear that works. Two, time outside is always worth it.
Now I spend my days exploring the American West in my converted RAV4. I test gear on real adventures, not in a backyard. If something survives cold desert nights or rain-soaked trails, I talk about it. If it doesn’t, I talk about that too.
My goal is to keep things real. That means performance, durability, and value. No sales pitch. Just gear that works for people who actually use it.
